WHY YOU SHOULD WORK WITH ME
It may feel a little phony to write about why you should work with me, but I truly believe I offer an experience that goes far beyond ‘photographer.’ First off, I live on Mount Desert Island year round and I work exclusively on the island. But what does that really mean?1 It means it’s my job to know this island like the back of my hand. All of the nooks and crannies, the busy times, slow times, quiet spots (yes, they exist!), permits needed, local vendors you can’t find on google, etc. I pride myself on being one of a few local photographers that lives here on MDI year round.
I have also been photographing weddings for over 10 years and what I've learned is it's time to put the focus back on the union of you and your partner and build a day that you truly care about. I have such an appreciation for living outside of the box and finding what makes you happy. If getting married on the top of a mountain or on a private island makes you happy, then you should do just that. Your wedding day should be a day out of your dreams, and only you can know what that dream looks like, I am just here to help you orchestrate it.
MY APPROACH
My background is in journalism and that plays a big part in the way I photograph weddings. I want to bring a calming presence to your day without being intrusive or noticeable in those special intimate moments. I believe your marriage and experience comes first, so I do everything possible to get the perfect shots while not being in the way. I will do whatever is needed and my job doesn't stop at photographer. If I need to run to the car to grab an extra blanket or bouquet I'll do just that to make your day run smoothly and to make it FUN!
PHOTOGRAPHER, PLANNER, GUIDE
Like I said above, my job doesn't stop at photographer. Part of the fun of planning an adventurous wedding or elopement is nothing is off-limits. From the moment you decide I'm your photographer, the dreaming will begin! We will discuss what matters to you most, who you want to be involved, what sort of places you love, and how you want to feel on your wedding day. From there I will work on scouting locations and we will come up with the perfect location for your union. From helping you find vendors on the island to suggesting shoe choices and what to wear, I'm here for it all.
YOUR STORY
Because many of the couples I work with either have a very small intimate wedding or elope alone, my job is even more crucial because this is how you'll share your marriage with the world. You are hiring me to tell a story, and from the minute you begin getting ready the day of your wedding your story begins. I don't want to just photograph your union and a few portraits, your day deserves to be documented from start to finish. That doesn't mean it will be an 8 or 10-hour photoshoot, but that means you will be able to point back to the sunrise hike to your elopement location and say, "yes, that's how we started the best day of our lives!"
THE FINAL PRODUCT
After your wedding, you can expect a sneak peek of your photos within 5 days. I know it's almost impossible to wait and you can rest assured you will have a handful of photos to share with your friends and family right away. 6-8 weeks later you then will receive an online gallery with your high-resolution files with unlimited download rights and personal printing rights. You can share this gallery with whoever you please and download all of your photos right from there. I can also help with prints and albums if that is something you are interested in.
PRICING
Weddings and elopements begin at $3500, and include unlimited consultation, location planning and logistics assistance, high resolution edited images, and an online gallery.

HOW DO I BOOK?
The process is easy! First we hop on a call to ensure we are the right fit for each other. We will discuss your vision for the day and choose a package that best fits your needs. Then, you simply sign my contract and pay the non-refundable deposit and you are officially booked. All of this can be done online/remotely.
CAN I SEE A FULL WEDDING GALLERY?
Absolutely! Based on the day you are planning I can send you a full gallery that best represents your vibe.
DO I OWN THE COPYRIGHT OF MY IMAGES?
While I retain the copyright of the images, you will gain personal print and media permission for any non-commercial use. If you have any questions about this please let me know.
WHEN WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?
You will receive a sneak peak of your photos within 5 days of your wedding and then your full gallery within 4-6 weeks.
CAN WE ADD THINGS AFTER BOOKING?
Absolutely! As the package you book is the base, we can add on hours, albums, prints, etc after.
