Kelly + Mike’s Adventurous Anniversary Session | Acadia National Park Portraits
What an absolute blast we had with these two. Kareem and I had the pleasure of photographing Kelly and Mike for their 30th wedding anniversary (I know, how could these two have been married for 30 years?! but truly, a love like this keeps you young) and it was more fun that we could have envisioned. Kelly and Mike are adventurous, kind hearted, full of life people and it just radiates out of them. We were lucky enough to spend the summer around them in Southwest Harbor out on sail boats in and around Somes Sound, and when we found out their anniversary was coming up we knew we wanted to do something special.
Combining their love for the water, anything adventurous, and well, just each other, we set off for a sunset hike on Beech Mountain in Acadia National Park. We picked the perfect short but rewarding hike because we really wanted the opportunity to enjoy sunset at the top. Lets just say mother nature decided to do a little showing off of her own and gave us quite the show.
The thing we love so much about Acadia is that around every corner we are surprised and reminded of the special beauty this place holds. Very few places in the world have mountains that meet the ocean and combine that with the unmatched beauty of the Maine coast and you can say it’s our heaven on earth. I think it’s safe to say that Kelly and Mike have a similar feeling. We are so grateful for our time with Kelly and Mike and that we got to photograph and mark such a special time in a very successful and loving partnership and marriage!
Opt For Epic is run by Taylor Paige Dieng with the help of her husband, Kareem Dieng. Taylor and Kareem live in their vintage motorhome full time and have been traveling the United Stated for the past year and a half. They call Acadia National Park home while not traveling. They believe that bringing people into nature and on epic adventures is the best way to capture true love, and also the most fun!
