Kellie and Chris’s Intimate Beach Wedding | The Westin Playa Conchal Wedding
What a dream. Costa Rica, the beach, the community, and these two. I couldn’t have dreamt up a better celebration for Kellie and Chris to say “I do.” When we were asked to photograph Kellie and Chris’s beach wedding in Costa Rica I was thrilled. These two had been friends of ours for quite some time and to get asked to photograph their wedding was such an honor. When I say these two were surrounded by love and light on their wedding trip that would be an understatement. From the beautiful setting of The Westin Playa Conchal, to the neighboring town of Tamarindo, everything about this wedding was peaceful, calm, and fun.
Kellie’s day started in the spa where she and her maid of honor Paige got ready. Peaceful is what comes to mind. Un-rushed, calm, and enjoyable was the vibe of the morning. Even with rain in the forecast Kellie was sure that the day would be perfect, and she was right!
Their ceremony was perfectly simple on the beach during sundown. Friends and family surrounded the two in a circle of love while they exchanged vows and expressed their love for each other. Light rain began at the end of their ceremony and it added to the adventure and excitement of the day.
I love that no matter what was thrown at Kellie and Chris during their wedding planning and day they remained who they are and didn’t bat an eye. A true testament to their love and care for one another. I feel so honored to have been a part of their day and to have captured their love.
Opt For Epic is run by Taylor Paige Dieng with the help of her husband, Kareem Dieng. Taylor and Kareem live in their vintage motorhome full time and have been traveling the United Stated for the past year and a half. They call Acadia National Park home while not traveling. They believe that bringing people into nature and on epic adventures is the best way to capture true love, and also the most fun!
